I own an original Pebble smart watch and I want to pair it with my Spotify account. I already have the songs and playlist ready but I cannot seem to pair them. I go to the My Music icon but it says ‘no music found’. What do I need to do?
Your Pebble smart watch is only capable to pairing/ connecting with your phone. The Pebble has a built-in music controller but it will work only after you play the music with the use of your phone.
If you have a music player in your phone or if you have an iTunes music library, you can sync that into your phone. Once you play a song into your phone check whether the Pebble displays the music controls. This can also be done when using Spotify.
In actuality, when you play some music from your phone or any device that permits you to control it remotely, the Music feature that you can see in your Pebble allows you to control it. It will not automatically start playing music if you do not select anything or if you have no music source.
One more thing, you mentioned that your Pebble displays a ‘no music’ message which means that it is running on old firmware. The latest firmware displays ‘start playback on your phone’ instead of ‘no music’ which is lessens confusion to the users.
What you need to do is to remove the old Pebble app from your phone and install Pebble Time in place of that. Upon running the app for the first time, you will be asked what type of Pebble you have and continue with upgrading it to the current firmware. After the upgrade, disconnect the bluetooth connection and restart both the devices.
The latest firmware features the same funtionalities of the original as well as the latest Pebble types which means you can use the latest and the old Pebble time watch apps.
